'ClickDay' (hereinafter "Company" or "Service") establishes and discloses the following Privacy Policy to protect users' personal information and handle related grievances quickly and smoothly, in accordance with applicable laws including the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, and the Personal Information Protection Act.
1. Personal Information Collected and Collection Methods
The Service collects the following personal information for membership registration, smooth service provision, and customer support.
- Required items: Email address, username (ID), password
- Optional items: Profile image (avatar), display name, bio, camera equipment information, Instagram link
- Items generated and collected during service use:
- Photo files uploaded by users, including location information (latitude, longitude) and camera metadata (EXIF: camera model, lens, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, focal length, etc.)
- Service usage records, access logs, cookies, IP address, device information, device location information (only when GPS access is permitted)
2. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information
Collected personal information is used for the following purposes.
- Member management: Verifying intent to register, user identification, processing registration and withdrawal, identity verification, preventing unauthorized use by bad actors, delivering notices
- Service provision and personalization: Providing a map-based photo and shooting information sharing platform, viewing nearby shooting spots based on user location, building personal profile pages, providing feed recommendations and bookmark/like features
- Service improvement and statistics: Improving features through analysis of service visit and usage records, developing new services, and stabilizing the service
- Legal compliance: Complying with obligations to prevent distribution of illegal recordings, and responding to data submission requests under applicable laws
3. Processing of Personal Information for Location-Based Services
The Service provides location-based services such as displaying shooting locations on a map and exploring nearby spots based on the user's current location.
- Collection and use of location information: When a user uploads a photo containing GPS information, the location data (latitude, longitude) is collected and displayed on the map. The device's real-time GPS information is also used when the user activates the nearby location view feature.
- Retention and deletion: Location information is deleted when the purpose of service provision is achieved or when the user deletes content or withdraws membership.
4. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information
When a user requests membership withdrawal (account deletion), the Company destroys the relevant personal information without delay and without any additional retention period.
- Information destroyed immediately: Account identifiers such as email, profile (including nickname and avatar image), posts and attached images, comments, likes, bookmarks, follow relationships, notifications, customer support inquiry history, block relationships, and reports the member has filed
- Information that may be retained as an exception: Reports filed against the member by other users may be retained, not deleted, for the purpose of preventing fraudulent use and repeat offenses.
